FAQs

NEW BIKES

NEW BIKE SETUP

1. SADDLE HEIGHT: Stand next to the bike and set the saddle three fingers below the hipbone. Sit on the saddle with one of your heels resting on the pedal at its lowest position. Your leg should be almost fully extended without needing to tilt your hips. You can still keep a slight bent in the knees.

2. SADDLE POSITION: Sit on the bike and ensure your pedals are parallel (3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position). Your knees should be above your ankles and behind the resistance button. Adjust the saddle by loosening the latch underneath the seat to move it forward or backward.

3. HANDLEBAR HEIGHT: For most riders, the height of the handlebar should be slightly above the saddle height. If you prefer a more relaxed, upright position, raise the handlebar a little further.

4. REACH: Make sure the distance from the saddle to the handlebar (reach) allows a comfortable grip without overextending your arms.

If you are unsure about your set up, don't hesitate to ask our team for help at any time. We can't wait for you to experience our new bikes!

BOOKING

WHAT IS A CREDIT?

A credit is like a token you use to reserve a spot in a class.

In order to book classes with us you need to pay for credits which are then loaded onto your SuperCycle account. Once you have selected a class you wish to attend, the credits you have previously bought will be used to book your spot in that class. You can purchase credits either at the “Pricing” tab on our website, or though the “Book Now” tab once you have selected a class. If you cancel a booking on time (9 hours before class) you are automatically refunded the credit to your SuperCycle account, and can use the credit again for a future booking.

DO CREDITS OF GIFT CARDS EXPIRE?

No, SuperCycle credits and gift cards never expire.

CAN I BOOK A CLASS FOR MY FRIEND AS WELL?

Yes. You can book multiple spots in a class from your account, to bring a friend or a group of friends.

CAN I USE MY CREDIT/CLASS AT ALL 4 STUDIOS?

Studio Credits and Studio Credits STUDENT are applicable to all of our studios.

I NEED TO CANCEL MY BOOKING. WHAT DO I DO?

You can cancel your booking up to 9 hours prior to class. The credit will then be refunded to your SuperCycle account. No cash/monetary refunds. Any bookings cancelled after the 9 hours will not be reimbursed and count as a paid class.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN INSTRUCTOR CAN'T TEACH THE CLASS?

We always let you know via email in advance if instructors get sick, or there is some other reason why someone else fills in, this should give you enough time to reschedule if you don’t like the other instructors’ music or style. Sometimes however, with last minute emergencies, we will have to have someone else substituting. We promise we will always try to find an instructor with similar music. We do however ask for your understanding if that is not possible for some reason.

AT THE STUDIO

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?

We want to be able to start and end classes on time out of respect to the other riders so please be early and punctual to class, this means 15 minutes prior to the start of your class. If you are at SuperCycle for the first time, arrive slightly earlier so that you can get help with bike setup. Any clients that arrive late to class will not be admitted to partake since the doors will be locked. Clients will not be reimbursed for missed classes.

I AM A BEGINNER, I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A LONG TIME, WHICH CLASS IS SUITABLE FOR ME?

You can regulate intensity using the resistance button, so we would recommend choosing your class according to your favorite kind of music, all classes have approximately the same level of intensity. All classes are suitable for beginners, you can go easy on the resistance, you can also hide in the back in the dark at the beginning, don’t worry, we have all been there. Please make sure to stay hydrated and to listen to your body during class.

WHAT LANGUAGE ARE SUPERCYCLE CLASSES TAUGHT IN?

All of our classes are taught in English, and all our receptionists speak English and German.

SHOULD I EAT AND DRINK SOMETHING BEFORE CLASS?

Yes! It is recommended to have some light carbs and ample amounts of water pre-class in order to have enough energy to power through the workouts.

DO YOU HAVE CHANGING ROOMS AND SHOWER FACILITIES AT SUPERCYCLE?

Yes we do! We have changing rooms and showers with products from SuperCycle x Temt, and lockers are open and available for use in all of our studios.

WHAT ABOUT MY VALUABLES?

You can keep them in the wardrobes/changing rooms or in the lockers we provide.

LOST & FOUND. I LEFT SOMETHING AT THE STUDIO, WHAT NOW?

We have a Lost & Found at each of our studios, where we keep everything we find for 3 weeks. Please come by to our Studios right before or after a class to pick up your things.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE?

The minimum age to take a class is 16 years old. If you are younger than 16 years old, you need to be accompanied by a legal guardian (parent) or present a signed parental consent form in order to be able to ride. Anyone who is 152cm (5 feet) or below will not meet bike requirements.

I AM PREGNANT, CAN I JOIN A CLASS?

If you are pregnant and you are cleared for sports by your doctor, please pay attention to a number of points when joining the SuperCycle classes. Moderate exercise during pregnancy is recommended. Please wear a heart rate monitor and make sure your heart rate stays below 140 at all times. Take breaks whenever you need to, hydrate and avoid discomfort.

I HAVE PROBLEMATIC KNEES, IS CYCLING A GOOD IDEA?

Cycling is considered high intensity but low impact on the knees and joints. If you have sensitive knees but have been cleared by your doctor for exercise, please pay attention to keeping your hips and weight back close to the saddle. Do not lean forward on the handlebar, as this will put pressure on your knees. Please use cycling shoes to further stabilise your knees.
